This one’s for the ladies!

This one’s for the ladies! International Women’s Day was earlier this month, March 8th, and the entire month of March marks National Women's History Month!

In response, VMR Products are celebrating the incredible contributions of women all month long. With the recent wave of movements like #TimesUp and
#PressforProgress, women are being heard like never before. This push for equality and inclusivity may have first garnered attention in the entertainment industry, but its effects are being felt in the corporate world and beyond. From the STEM fields to politics, women are entering formerly male-dominated
arenas in record numbers, making this a truly exciting time for all Americans. Today’s movement goes beyond simply closing the gender pay gap or eliminating the ‘pink tax.’ It’s about targeting archaic stereotypes and using education and example to unite us as people.

We have an exciting 100 year anniversary coming up in 2020-- celebrating American women's right to vote for 100 years! On August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment was ratified by U.S. Secretary of State Bainbridge Colby, and women finally achieved the long-sought right to vote throughout the United States. On November 2 of that same year, more than 8 million women across the U.S. voted in elections for the first time. Thanks to the women's suffrage movement and take a look back at this historical event from the History Channel: https://www.history.com/topics/womens-history/19th-amendment

We are particularly grateful to all of the smart and hard-working women that work in the various departments at VMR. We are also appreciative towards and support equality for all of our female customers across the world! This month, let’s take a moment to appreciate all women; their contributions, their ideas, and their value to our community. The future is female!
